Anyway, it happened with rabbi Yirmiyahu
angyelfy,
Shliach to Leeds, England. The "Tree Officer" of Leeds Council forbade
removing it (they had just bought their big Centre, but it's on a main
road, so they needed to widen the pathway for cars & the tree was in
the way. They arranged to meet Monday on site, to see what they could
do. YA sent a (regular) Du"ch to the Rebbe, several pages, one paragraph
just mentioning this thing. On the Friday he got the reply; only
comment was on that paragraph: האם זה עץ מאכל, or similar wording.
Sunday night was an unprecedented gale, uprooted the tree! On Monday
when the Council people came, they said that the unsettling of the earth
made the adjoining tree dangerous, & it must go as well (IOW, an
even bigger & better driveway). When the man from the Council
arrived & saw the scene, he immediately said: it looks like Someone
up there likes you.
